This program is no longer needed, since Opera November 2005 (or was it October?) removed the ads window in the free version too!
- Fixed bug that caused Noopads to show when Eudora was visible.
What is it?
I'm on sick leave (after having 2 depressions) and have very little money, so I use the free version of Opera, which I've come to regard as the best browser out there. But I got tired of the sometimes very lively ads in the free version of the browser and created noopads to function as a cover over the ads. Then I turned it into a launch bar in order to make it more useful.
Believe it or not, but I'll pay for Opera when I get well and lucky enough to get a job! These Opera guys deserve it. I've previously payed for HomeSite, Paint Shop Pro, HelpScribble, IconEdit Pro, Isle Wars, PlusMemo and Image Display Lib. So when I can, I'm willing to pay for shareware.
If you think I'm just out there grapping free stuff, take a look at this page, where you can download freeware programs I've made. All my programs are freeware, so I'm giving stuff away all the time.
Noopads is only visible when the Opera browser is visible. If you minimize or close Opera (or hide it behind other windows), noopads hides itself too (but can be reached by right-clicking the traybar icon).
Noopads v1.3.1 (224 kb; zipped; help file included)
Noopads doesn't touch the Registry at all. It uses an ini file located in it's own folder.
